I've worn flat caps for forty years and this is the lightest one I've had. I've got a fairly big head and it sits comfortably without leaving a line across my forehead after a couple of hours. The laces on the side are a nice touch and make it look a bit different from the usual. Dark brown goes with my wax jacket and my navy overcoat. Wore it to the pub on Sunday and the landlord asked where I got it

My father-in-law has worn a flat cap every day of his adult life and is very particular about them. I bought him the light brown for his 80th and he inspected it for a good while before putting it on. He said the laces were a bit fancy for him but he's worn it to bowls every week since and I've caught him showing it to his friends. He says it's lighter than his old one and doesn't make his head hot in the car, which was always his complaint

I'm 5ft 8 with a round face and I've never thought flat caps suited me. My son talked me into this one and I was wrong. The shape is neat and not too wide at the peak so it doesn't swamp my face. Wore it to a family lunch and my daughter-in-law said it took ten years off
